Why did you start the Traineeship?
I started my traineeship because I felt like I wasn’t happy in my previous role as a Fire alarm engineer. I wasn’t doing what made me happy. Working with computers always clicked with me and tech in general. I took the traineeship on because its a fast track to a job rather then going to Uni.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
To be honest, I enjoyed the studying and the routine I got into. Most people would have said labs, but I enjoyed the studying and theoretical side of it all just as much.
What's your current role like?
At the moment, my role consist of projects in schools across a county to upgrade devices on a network and deploy OS and software and applying GPO’s to them. And then the usual technician work. I enjoy the work because I’m not diving into it being completely oblivious of the work. I know my Stuff!
