Why did you start the Traineeship?
I had grown up with technology and had studied computer science about 6 years before I started this course however never gained any qualifications. I was tired of coasting between what I considered dead-end jobs and needed to begin a career if not only for myself but for my family too. The CV help offered was invaluable and also a guaranteed job seemed too good to be true however it was not.
What did you enjoy most about the Traineeship?
In short: flexibility and support. I was able to work around a part-time job and life in general. I also did take a six month break during the course and so I completed it within 4 months in total. The support from the team (especially Leigh, Ralph and Amber) was also invaluable and I hope they take credit in everybody’s success. The course content gives you more than is needed for just the qualifications which really helps in the real world.
What's your current role like?
It’s an amazing opportunity with a global company and an even better first step into the IT world. I couldn’t be more happy with where I am. I’m currently taking calls in order to assist business clients with their everyday and specialised IT issues. I’m learning so much every day and the opportunities to learn, gain more qualifications and progress seem to be massive
